Sissons

On May 27th, 1960 Sissons Paints (West Indies) Limited was registered and operated as an agency from 1956-1959. In 1972, the Company was acquired by Donald Mc Pherson Group and on July 9th 1974 the name of the Company was changed to Sissons Paints (Trinidad) Limited with their registered offices in Chaguanas and franchised Colour Shops located throughout Trinidad and Tobago. In 1986, Sissons opened a plant in Grenada to supply the OECS countries.

Sissons Paints has set the pace for product development in the Caribbean and was the first company to successfully introduce products such as Siscolac Chinese Lacquer, Polyurethane Varnish, Oil Varnish Stain, Non Drip Ceiling White, Weather Guard Exterior Emulsion and a Water Base Enamel- Aqua. In 2008 Sissons Paints (Trinidad) was acquired by Ansa McAL Limited and subsequently integrated operations with Penta Paints in 2012 and was incorporated as ANSA Coatings Limited.
